Court dockets, 1837-1850.

The court docket is a record of the lawsuits brought by the Branch Bank against persons who were not paying their notes that were due. Included are the date of the suit, the suit number, the county name, the name of the Branch Bank, the name of the person against whom the Bank is filing suit, and a brief description of the settlement. Sometimes included is the amount of the judgment, the clerk's fees, the sheriff's fees, the attorney's fees, and the county tax. The court dockets are divided into county and circuit court records, with no difference in the type of information that is recorded. This series is also referred to as "Trial Docket".
